Beoddy's Inferno

Beoddy's Inferno

Michael Keilmeier writes: Beoddy's series "The Basketcase Chronicles" also imcludes Beoddy's "Inferno" (1976), which displayed the vicious, maladjusted side of Beoddy's personality in its worst light, according to the artist. Beoddy held a mirror up to a world that he regarded as disgusting, possibly in order to point the way towards a better life. Apart from the artisitc considerations, perhaps the best that can be said of these paintings is tht they represented an honest statement.
